| Objective:To understand the current situation of job burnout of caregivers in pension agency and its performance,analyze the multiple causes of job burnout of caregivers in pension agency from multiple perspectives.This includes an in-depth understanding of the pressure faced by the caregivers of the pension agency,the exploration of their rationalized needs,the rationalized suggestions to cope with the job burnout of the caregivers of the pension agency,the alleviation of job burnout,welcome the good prospect of the benign operation of pension institutions,so as to improve the quality of social services..Methods:A sequential mixed method(quantitative followed by qualitative)in a mixed research approach was used to conduct this study.1.Quantitative phase: The study was conducted using the cross-sectional survey method.A convenient sample of caregivers from pension agency in each municipality in the province was conducted and questionnaires were administered to the caregivers.The general information questionnaire and MBI-GS questionnaire were applied as measurement tools to quantitatively investigate the job burnout situation of caregivers and analyze the influencing factors.SPSS26.0 and EXCEL software were used to statistically analyze the questionnaire data,in which the sample frequency analysis was used to understand the basic information and job status of the caregivers in the pension agency.The job burnout situation of caregivers was analyzed by descriptive statistics.Differences in job burnout among caregivers with different attributes were analyzed by independent sample t-test or one-way ANOVA,and the influence of job burnout was further studied by multiple linear regression.2.Qualitative stage: The study was conducted using phenomenological methods.On the basis of literature review and expert consultation,the researcher designed the interview outline by himself.After completing the outline content through pre-survey,the top 15% of caregivers ranked from highest to lowest on the job burnout scale were selected as the study subjects based on the combination of literature review and expert consultation.In this study,sampling was not stopped until information saturation was obtained,and a total of 11 caregivers were finally included.Through a semi-structured one-on-one interview,Data analysis was conducted through semi-structured interviews using the content analysis method to identify themes to get an in-depth understanding of the pressure faced by the caregivers of the pension agency,the exploration of their rationalized needs.Results:1.207 questionnaires were distributed in this survey,and 207 questionnaires were finally included in the statistical analysis,with a valid return rate of 100%.job burnout detection rate was 50.7%.Among them,14.0% were mild burnout,29.0% were moderate burnout,and 7.7%were severe burnout.2.Single factor analysis and correlation analysis found: Overall job burnout was associated with gender,age,education level,length of time working in pension agency,and number of elderly caregivers in the pension agency(P<0.05).Emotional burnout,Cynicism and Low sense of accomplishment are related to gender,age,education level,and number of caregivers of the pension agency(P<0.05).3.Multiple linear regression analysis revealed the following problems.Where the factors influencing overall job burnout were age,literacy,number of older adults currently in care,time spent working in pension and nursing.The factors influencing emotional exhaustion were age,number of older adults currently in care.Factors influencing cynicism were age,number of older adults currently in care,literacy level.The factors influencing low sense of accomplishment were age,number of older adults currently under care.4.The results of the qualitative study distilled four themes and nine sub-themes:Theme 1: self factor(work attitude,family factors,business ability,personality traits);theme2: work factor(work environment,nature of work);theme 3: social identity(disrespect);theme 4:salary(welfare benefits,salary income).Conclusion:1.The job burnout of caregivers in pension agency in the province is relatively common,the governmental departments at all levels,pension agency and the society should pay high attention and take appropriate measures to reduce job burnout and promote the healthy development of elderly care.2.The effects of age,education level,working hours in the agency,and working hours in pension agency,the number of elderly people being nursed on the job burnout of caregivers in the pension agency are the main influencing factors of job burnout of caregivers in Pension agency,which are explained in the qualitative research results.3.Self-factor,job factor,social identity and salary are the four main factors that affect the job burnout of caregivers in pension agency.Among them,personality characteristics of selffactor,work environment of job factor,social identity,salary and other factors supplement the quantitatively investigate results. |
