ObjectiveThis topic mainly focuses on the observation of the therapeutic effect of massage manipulation combined with martial arts exercises on improving the physiological curvature of cervical spondylosis, while observing the changes in the cervical dysfunction index scale, cervical joint activity score, and pain VAS score,To provide clinical basis for the treatment of cervical spondylosis by massage combined with exercise.MethodsIn this study, prospective randomized controlled clinical research methods were used to randomly divide eligible patients with cervical spondylosis who were admitted to the Massage Department of Guang’anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine into experimental and control groups in a 1:1 ratio. The treatment method in the experimental group was massage manipulation combined with martial arts exercises. The massage manipulation was neck and chest synchronized manipulation, mainly including relaxation of the neck and shoulder, tapping of acupoints such as the wind pool and the shoulder well, cervical spine lifting and counter pulling, and thoracic cross partial pressure. The treatment was performed once a week;Martial Arts Exercise is a four-step exercise for the physiological curvature of young people’s cervical vertebrae summarized by the Massage Department of Guang’anmen Hospital, based on traditional martial arts. There are four exercises, namely, crane nodding water, green dragon swinging head, old ape necking, rhinoceros watching the moon, and exercise twice a day.The control group was treated with cervical traction, using the HANIL-TM cervical traction instrument HT-102 for traction, once every two days for 10 minutes each time. The treatment period of both the experimental group and the control group was 8 weeks. Before and after treatment, the changes in physiological curvature of the cervical spine were measured using the Borden method, and the treatment efficacy was analyzed using the Cervical Dysfunction Index Scale,Cervical Joint Activity Score, and Pain VAS Score. The differences between the two groups were compared.Results1.A total of 39 patients were included in the study,of which 5 were shed, and 34 were ultimately completed. There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender, age, course of disease, height, weight,Borden value of cervical physiological curvature before treatment, cervical dysfunction index, cervical joint activity score, pain VAS score, and other data before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable.2.The Borden value of cervical physiological curvature in the experimental group and the control group after treatment was higher than that before treatment, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment, there was no significant difference in the Borden value of cervical physiological curvature between the two groups(P>0.05).It is suggested that both the experimental group and the control group can improve the physiological curvature of the cervical spine, and there is no difference in the efficacy between the two groups.3.After treatment, the cervical spine dysfunction index in the experimental group and the control group decreased compared to that before treatment, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment, the cervical dysfunction index in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).It is suggested that both the experimental group and the control group can alleviate cervical spine dysfunction, and the experimental group has better efficacy than the control group.4.After treatment, the scores of cervical joint activity in the test group and the control group were both higher than before treatment, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment, the score of cervical joint activity in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).It is suggested that both the experimental group and the control group can increase the range of motion of the cervical spine joint, and the therapeutic effect of the experimental group is better than that of the control group.5.The VAS score of pain in the test group and the control group after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.05);After treatment, the VAS score of pain in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).It is suggested that both the experimental group and the control group can alleviate the degree of pain, and the experimental group has a better effect than the control group.Conclusion1.Massage combined with exercise therapy and cervical traction therapy have good effects on improving the physiological curvature of cervical spondylosis, and there is no significant difference between the two treatment methods.2.Both massage combined with martial arts exercise therapy and cervical traction therapy can improve patients’ cervical dysfunction, cervical joint activity, and cervical pain.Massage combined with martial arts exercise therapy is more effective than cervical traction therapy.
