| Objective:Allergic rhinitis is a common allergic disease in children,with nasal congestion,nasal itching,sneezing,runny nose as the main clinical manifestations,a long course of disease,repeated attacks.Traditional Chinese medicine has certain advantages in the treatment of this disease.This study evaluates the clinical efficacy of Xinyi Decoction in the treatment of pediatric allergic rhinitis through clinical scale observation,and studies the application advantages of Seirin Pyonex Needles.The serum total immunoglobulin E(IgE)level was observed before treatment,and the correlation between age,sex,severity,family history,allergy and other factors and serum total IgE level was compared and analyzed.Methods:A randomized controlled clinical trial method was used to randomly divide 60 pediatric patients with allergic rhinitis who met the criteria and were treated at the Pediatric Clinic of Dongzhimen Hospital,Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to March 2023 into two groups.The Chinese herbal medicine+Seirin Pyonex Needles group consisted of 30 patients,who were treated with the combination of oral administration of Xinyi Decoction and topical use of Seirin Pyonex Needles;30 cases in the traditional Chinese medicine group were treated with simple Xinyi Decoction and modified traditional Chinese medicine orally for 2 weeks.Collect general information of the patient before treatment,and complete the scale scores,including the main symptoms and signs scores and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,before treatment,1 week and 2 weeks,respectively.Conduct inter group self control and inter group control.Children who met the diagnostic criteria for allergic rhinitis and did not use anti-allergy drugs within 1 week were set as the observation group.Serum total IgE was detected before treatment,and the groups were compared according to gender,age,severity and other factors.Results:1.Case inclusion status:A total of 60 cases were finally included and completed the scale observation.There were 30 cases in the traditional Chinese medicine+ Seirin Pyonex Needles group and 30 cases in the traditional Chinese medicine group.There were 24 cases in the total serum IgE observation group.2.General situation and baseline comparison:In terms of gender distribution,there are more males than females,with a concentrated age range of 3-6 years.The total course of disease in most patients from diagnosis to now is 1-2 years,and the course of this disease outbreak is mostly 1-2 weeks.Cold,season,and infection rank among the top three inducing and aggravating factors.More than half of the children had family history and allergy history,among which eczema,urticaria and food and drug allergy were the top three.3.Clinical efficacy results:In terms of the total effective rate of the main symptoms and signs,both groups of children were 96.67%.In terms of the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome points,the traditional Chinese medicine+ Seirin Pyonex Needles group was 100%,while the traditional Chinese medicine group was 96.67%.The total effective rate of the two groups was basically the same.The clinical symptoms of both groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After 1 week of treatment,the sum of main symptoms and signs and the single score of nasal congestion,sneeze and turbinate in traditional Chinese medicine+Seirin Pyonex Needles group were better than those in traditional Chinese medicine group(P<0.05),and the single score of nasal congestion and turbinate in traditional Chinese medicine+Seirin Pyonex Needles group was better than those in traditional Chinese medicine group(P<0.05)after 2 weeks of treatment.After 2 weeks of treatment,there was no significant difference in the scores of traditional Chinese medicine secondary diseases between the two groups(P>0.05).4.Observation results of total serum IgE:There were statistically significant differences in the positive rate among groups of age,family history and allergy history(P<0.05),but no statistically significant differences among groups of gender and severity(P>0.05).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of Xinyi Decoction in treating pediatric allergic rhinitis is definite,and both groups showed significant improvement after treatment compared to before;The combination of oral administration of Xinyi Decoction and traditional Chinese medicine combined with Seirin Pyonex Needles and external treatment is better than simple oral Chinese medicine in the improvement of nasal congestion,sneezing,turbinate and other major symptoms and signs;Age,family history,allergy history and serum total IgE have a certain correlation. |
