Clinical Effect Of Acupuncture Treatment On Postoperative Rehabilitation Of Proximal Humeral Fractur

Purpose:To explore the functional recovery of humerus and shoulder joint by traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture on the basis of postoperative rehabilitation of proximal humerus fracture with intramedullary support.Material and method:From September 2021 to March 2022,60 patients with proximal humerus fracture in t he Northern Theater Command General Hospital were admitted in the research.All pa tients were treated with PHILOS steel plate for ORAIF.A random number table meth od was used to divide the patients into rehabilitation group and acupuncture group.Pa tients in both groups were treated with intramedullary support for proximal humerus fr acture.Patients in the rehabilitation group received conventional rehabilitation after sur gery,while patients in the acupuncture group were treated with traditional Chinese acu puncture on the basis of conventional rehabilitation.VAS pain score at 4 weeks after surgery,Neer shoulder function scoreat 8 weeks after surgery,shoulder joint range of motion at 12 weeks after surgery were observed and recorded in detail.Data were col lected for statistical analysis.Results:A total of 60 patients with proximal humerus fracture were included in this study.Analysis showed that the majority of patients were female,with a concentrated age range of 60 to 70 years old.Among them,a total of 33 patients achieved excellent Neer scores.Before treatment,the general data of patients(age,sex,distribution of affected limbs)between the two groups were not significant(P> 0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS pain score,Neer shoulder joint function score,and shoulder joint range of motion between the two groups of patients(P> 0.05).Compared with rehabilitation group,VAS score at 4 weeks,Neer score at 8 weeks,and shoulder joint range of motion at 12 weeks after surgery in acupuncture group showed significant improvement(P<0.05).The patients of both groups did not experience serious postoperative complications.Conclusion:The acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training have significant advantages over single rehabilitation training in the rehabilitation of shoulder joint function in patients with proximal humeral fracture after surgery.It has good effects in alleviating pain,improving patients’ living standards,and increasing the range of shoulder joint activity,Acupuncture therapy is simple,convenient,fast,safe,and efficient.This method is easy to promote and learn in future clinical practice,providing a better solution for the recovery of shoulder joint function in patients with proximal humeral fracture after surgery.
