Clinical Observation On Xuanfei Qingtan Decoction In Treating Severe Pneumonia With Phlegm-heat Obstructing The Lung

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xuanfei Qingtan Decoction in the treatment of severe pneumonia phlegm-heat blocking lung syndrome in order to provide more effective treatment strategies for clinicians.Methods: From January 2022 to December 2022,50 eligible patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the Department of Critical Care Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine were selected.They were numbered according to the order of visiting time,and then grouped according to the random number table method.They were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,with 25 patients in each group.The patients in the control group received routine western medicine treatment,and the patients in the experimental group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine for dispersing lung and clearing phlegm.The course of treatment for both groups was 7 days.CRP,PCT and oxygenation index were measured before treatment and 7 days after treatment.Results:(1)The total effective rate of the experimental group reached 96.0%,while that of the control group was 76.0%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),which indicated that the therapeutic effect of the experimental group was better.(2)The scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups decreased after treatment,and the effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)After treatment,both groups can reduce CRP level,and the effect of the experimental group is better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(4)After treatment,both groups can reduce the PCT level,and the effect of the experimental group is better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(5)Both groups can improve the oxygenation index after treatment,and the effect of the experimental group is better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Xuanfei Qingtan Decoction can relieve the clinical symptoms of patients,reduce the levels of CRP and PCT,relieve inflammatory reaction,increase oxygenation index and improve prognosis.2.Xuanfei Qingtan Drink is safe.
