Analysis Of The Techniques Of Shi Tao's "Ancient Trees Shading" And Experience In Imitating And Creatin

Shi Tao was a versatile artist in poetry,literature,calligraphy,painting and aesthetics at the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty.No matter his paintings or aesthetic thoughts,he had a profound influence on modern and modern Chinese paintings after the middle of Qing Dynasty.His landscape paintings are full of ink,full of brushwork and unrestrained brushwork,which is highly praised by later generations.The Shadow of Ancient Trees was written by him at the age of49 when he was in the prime of life.This paper explores the brushwork techniques such as hook,stroke,rubbing,dyeing and dot in his works by combing the creative background of the Shadow of Ancient Trees and analyzing the brushwork techniques.The article is mainly composed of four parts.The first part combs Shi Tao’s life and the creation background of "The Shadow of Ancient Trees" according to the literature.In the second part,the brush and ink techniques and expressions such as trees,rocks,clouds,water,moss spots and colors in The Shadow of Ancient Trees are deeply discussed.The third part explores the artistic expression of the combination of reality and reality from the three-fold and two-paragraph composition in The Shadow of Ancient Trees.The fourth part,according to the above,began to practice the graduation work "You" series,and gained the experience,feelings and inspiration of Shi Tao’s painting style to the author in landscape painting creation.No matter the conception of artistic image,the selection of creative elements,the expression of composition skills,or the embodiment of mental outlook,all show the inheritance and development of Shi Tao’s painting style in my own creation.I would like to make my modest contribution to the development and innovation of contemporary landscape painting with this article.
