An Analysis Of The Creation Practice Of Group Portrait Documentaries

In recent years,with the development of photographic equipment and technology,various types of character documentaries have gradually entered the public field of vision.Documentary creators aim their lenses at all kinds of people in today’s society and indirectly reflect people’s life,industry development and social reality through characters.In character documentary,there are both single character documentary and group character documentary aimed at specific groups.Different from ordinary character documentaries,group character documentaries aim to show a common group rather than a person,so it is more difficult to properly present this group image within a limited time.Starting from the origin of the word "group portrait",this paper analyzes and explores the creation and practice process of group portrait documentary based on the pre-shooting and post-production process of the graduation work "Things About Vegetable ".This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly explains the research background,research significance and research methods of the topic selection of the paper and the work.The second part is an overview of the group portrait documentary,explaining the origin of the word "group portrait" and analyzing the characteristics of the group portrait documentary,the third part is combined with the graduation work "Things About Vegetable" to discuss the presentation of the group portrait.The fourth part analyzes the means of audio-visual expression of graduation works.The fifth part reflects and reviews the graduation works in the early shooting and post production stages,and tries to dig out the shortcomings to be improved in the graduation works.The conclusion part summarizes and reflects on the thesis and works,and tries to provide some reference and reference for the creators of group documentary in the future.
