After the mid-1950 s,the pop art boom emerged,and a new attempt was made to introduce popular culture into serious art schema.After that,the classical schema style of traditional art was gradually broken.In the late 1980 s,due to the further expansion of the influence of consumerism on mainstream culture,a modeling style and painting technique with cartoon elements and images began to emerge among the young generation of contemporary artists.For example,from the Graffiti art created by Keith Harling,Banksy,KAWS and other artists using cartoon painting style in the United States,to the phenomenon of "cartoon generation" and "new cartoon generation" in Chinese contemporary art;Then to the Japanese Murakami Takashi proposed "super flat" painting style;The attempt to integrate cartoon style into modern art not only broadens the new expression of modern art form language,but also has a profound and huge influence on modern art and design discipline.In this paper,according to the three schools of contemporary "cartoon painting" style mentioned above,as well as related image data and literature,the methods and paths of case study,comparative analysis and literature extraction are adopted,and the semiotics theory of Roland Barthes is used for reference,combined with the reasons of business,culture and artistic evolution.This paper analyzes and summarizes the characteristics,cultural connotation,causes and innovative significance of "cartoon painting" in contemporary art,and discusses the continuation of this concept of painting with the current popularphenomenon. |
