"The Forbidden City" is an accordion solo work by Gorka Hermosa dedicated to professor Wang Shusheng from Tianjin Conservatory of Music.This work was created in 2019 as the latest batch of The Chinese music element accordion solo works are very limited in literature for reference.Therefore,this article starts from three aspects: the creative background,special performance skills,and connotation characteristics of the work,and analyzes and understands the performance ideas and starting directions of this modern work when it is performed.The composer has used many novel and pioneering special expression techniques in the creation,so that the performer can show the final musical effect in the form of artistic practice,and the technicality,artistry and style of the work itself are reflected in the performance.In the process of this exploration,Gorka Hermosa’s personalized understanding of Chinese culture,the creative style and habits of past works,and the calculus notes,ricochet,glissando appearing in the works Playing skills are the starting point to understand and analyze the similarities between the creation and performance of this modern piece.This research will provide theoretical and technical support for the performance of The Forbidden City and more Chinese works in the future,and will help more and more performers to improve their music performances.
