"New Utensils"

As the initial form of Chinese ceramic art,artifacts have been closely related to people’s lives since their emergence.In the context of current artistic trends,ceramic artifacts can be divided into two categories: "practical artifacts" and "non practical artifacts".The former is known as practical utensils for life,while the latter is a "new artifact" that injects more personal thoughts and emotions of artists and does not have practical functions.This article,starting from the latter,analyzes and studies the abstract artistic expression of new artifacts in ceramic art from the perspectives of modeling,color,texture,and firing,and explores the relationship and differences between traditional Chinese ceramic artifacts and contemporary ceramic new artifacts.The series of works of "Qi Shuo" is a further innovative refinement and abstract summary of traditional Chinese ceramic artifacts,using new ceramic materials and molding techniques to break through the boundaries of traditional ceramic art,thereby creating a personalized "new artifact" of contemporary ceramic art.
