| As an ancient man-made material of natural origin,ceramics have spanned thousands of years in the history of human civilisation,displaying their unique and enduring vitality.With the continuous development of cities and the improvement of people’s aesthetic level,ceramic materials have also taken many forms in public spaces,among which ceramic public art with high-temperature colour glaze as the main expression continues to exist in various public spaces in various forms such as murals,sculptures and installations.It blends traditional materials with modern aesthetics,giving a unique flavour and affinity even in the modern city made of steel and concrete.This paper first defines the concept of ceramic public art and high-temperature colour glazes,clarifies their characteristics,and presents examples of outstanding ceramic public artworks for analysis.Next,the aesthetic characteristics of high-temperature colour glazes are sorted out and the possibilities of combining high-temperature colour glazes with local culture are analysed,inspiring thoughts on the creation of individual series of works.Immediately afterwards,the author aims to create a unique cultural atmosphere and artistic ambience by combining the aesthetic characteristics of historical culture and high-temperature colour glazes in the creation practice of the series of high-temperature colour glazes New Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains and Heartland,with the aim of exploring the possibilities of innovative applications of high-temperature colour glazes in public spaces.Finally,this paper discusses the value and significance of the development of high-temperature colour glazes in public space and draws conclusions from the research,with the expectation that the results of this research will also provide useful references for the practice of ceramic public art and the development of related work. |
