| In response to the impact of the epidemic on students’ learning and teachers’ teaching, the Confucius Institute at the University of Mickiewicz in Poland has opened online Chinese language courses.During my internship at the Confucius Institute in2021 and 2022,when the epidemic was relatively severe,I found that there were some difficulties in students’ online Chinese learning and their learning effectiveness was affected to some extent. However, previous relevant studies paid relatively little attention to Polish students and were unable to find solutions in a short time. Therefore, this article conducts an investigation and research on the online Chinese learning situation of the Confucius Institute students during the author’s internship.Firstly, this article reviews and summarizes previous research findings and perspectives, and analyzes the feasibility and necessity of this study;Secondly,it introduces and elaborates the development of the Confucius Institute at the University of Mickiewicz and the online Chinese language teaching situation;Thirdly, using the methods of questionnaire and interview,a survey was conducted on the students and their Chinese teachers participating in the online Chinese language course at the Confucius Institute at the University of Mickiewicz;Fourth,it analyzes the current problems of online Chinese learning among students at the Confucius Institute of Mickiewicz University, and proposes targeted solutions from both student learning and teacher teaching perspectives.Through research,it has been found that the prominent problems of online Chinese learning among students at Confucius Institute of Mickiewicz University are decreased learning motivation, lack of review, poor skill practice, and lax requirements for their own learning behaviors. The prominent problems of teacher teaching are the need to improve teaching strategies, the lack of necessary review and practice in the classroom, the inadequate handling of textbooks, and insufficient understanding of students’ learning needs. In this regard,we suggest that students adjust their mindset, attach importance to review, face up to difficulties, and strictly require themselves. We suggest that teachers utilize their online advantages, plan teaching links, adjust the content of textbooks, and strengthen communication between teachers and students. |
