| During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,especially in the Qing Dynasty,women’s literary literacy was improved compared with the previous generation,and they were more capable of raising their children.In addition,the society attached importance to family education,and the proportion of maternal education in literary works increased day by day.Since the 1990 s,many scholars have been involved in the study of maternal education in their articles on women and education,and there are also many questions about maternal education in the family studies in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.However,it is a pity that the whole maternal education in novels in Ming and Qing dynasties has not been paid enough attention and lacks systematic and in-depth discussion.In view of this,the author tries to make a preliminary study on the phenomenon of maternal education in the novels of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.This paper chooses the phenomenon of maternal education in the novels of the Ming and Qing Dynasties as the research topic,and explores the image of mother,the content,methods and characteristics of maternal education in the novels.The article is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is about the origin and development of the traditional mother religion in China.This chapter is divided into three sections,mainly exploring the cultural origin of traditional maternal education,analyzing the phenomenon of maternal education in literary works before the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and further exploring the reasons for the development of maternal education in literary works during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The second chapter analyzes the image of the mother in the world love novels.The role of mother in the novel is varied.Readers can see the kind,virtuous,independent and self-reliant mother,and they can also see the snobbish and short-sighted mother.The third chapter is to explore the mother’s education in the novels of the Ming and Qing Dynasties,mainly including the contents and characteristics of godchildren and goddaughters.By comparison,when mothers face their sons and daughters,the contents they teach are different,and the educational methods are also different.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the methods and characteristics of maternal education in the novels of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Even with different images of mothers,the methods used in educating their children,especially their sons,are actually unified.Generally,they will pay attention to words and deeds,attach importance to the environment in which their children are educated,take severe measures to educate their children when necessary,and even some mothers will take frustration education to help their children grow up.Many educational methods adopted by mothers make mother education more unique than father education.For example,mothers pay more attention to emotions when educating their children,and are particularly concerned about the size of their children. |
