| Chen Zizhuang is a modern painter.In the Fifty Year Art of China published by the Ministry of Culture,Chen Zizhuang is one of the three Sichuan painters listed in the book,and his name was included in Dictionary of Chinese Artists and History of Fine Arts in the Past Century,with remarkable artistic achievements.Chen Zizhuang’s painting theory is basically in Shi Hu Lun Hua Yu Yao.Shi Hu Lun Hua Yu Yao has its unique artistic value and cultural connotation,especially its unique aesthetic value.Its artistic and literary characters are unique,vivid and sincere,which has great inspiration for practitioners.As Chen Zizhuang said,to become a great master,we must first form our own aesthetic thoughts."My paintings are not understood by ordinary people because they are philosophy".This article tries to explore Chen Zizhuang’s unique aesthetic thoughts in Shi Hu Lun Hua Yu Yao from the perspective of aesthetics,from the propositions and categories of "the special and advanced realm is beauty","metaplasia" and "the rule can be found outside it".First,Chen Zizhuang’s theory that "the special and advanced realm is beauty"is a proposition put forward in the discussion of the relationship between"beauty" and "truth" in the art of painting.To reach this state,it is necessary to draw true paintings,and to speak true words,it is necessary to be interesting.The thought of seeking truth in Chinese painting aesthetics has been further developed.Secondly,Chen Zizhuang believed that "painting must be interesting",and only real painting can have interest.The category of "interest" has two meanings in Chen Zizhuang’s aesthetic thought,namely,the strokes are simple but rich in meaning and painting freely and well.Second,in order to enter the special and advanced realm,Chen Zizhuang refined the aesthetic category of "metaplasia".The creator should understand"metaplasia",which is a dynamic process in which the subject constantly pursues and perfects "truth".The connotation of metaplasia has four aspects.First,"metaplasia" opposes the simple description of scenery,but should have a rigorous attitude,treat things and problems with scientific concepts,and eliminate the false and retain the true.To gain insight into its inner beauty,it is necessary to pursue the aesthetic contemplation of "stillness",which generates wisdom.Second,the process of selection and exaggeration will bring the object to a higher artistic level,making the artistic image more beautiful,more typical and more personalized.Third,"metaplasia" means doing nothing but doing nothing from the heart.It creates images in the process of forgetting things.Fourth,the artistic image created by "metaplasia" must reflect the knowledge,cultivation and morality of the creator,and is directly related to the spirit and imagination of the creator.The aesthetic quality is the basis of "metaplasia".Third,painters must have true reason,tell the truth,have true feelings,and have "interest" in their paintings,but how to create and how to express should start with the rule.Chen Zizhuang seeks a balance between the freedom and the rule,and advocates that "the rule can be found outside it".For this reason,he put forward such propositions as "rule changes randomly","to find rule according to the situation",and "to find rule according to the will".The aesthetic thought of painting in Chen Zizhuang’s painting theory is concise and succinct,while a few words have infinite meaning.It develops tradition and self innovation.Metaplasia theory and truth seeking thoughts touch the most profound aspects of Chinese aesthetic thought of painting.With sincere words and a strong sense of family demeanor,Chen Zizhuang’s detachment from his desire for fame and wealth and his sincerity towards family,country,and the world can be felt in every sentence.This makes his aesthetic thoughts possess unparalleled unique charm and style. |
