| With the progress of human science and technology civilization and the advancement of urbanization,modern urban landscape has emerged based on the experience and practice of modern urban life.People and modern cities in modern cities have become the themes for painters to explore,and painting has changed from the faithful record of natural landscape to the exploration of individual living experience in the city.This paper studies how to reproduce modern urban landscape in painting,analyzes the origin and problems in the development process of modern urban landscape painting,and explores how to reflect"modernity" in urban landscape painting.This paper will analyze and compare the different manifestations of modern urban landscape in painting from the perspective of different painting schools,paintings of different artists and philosophical fields,and mainly analyze and interpret how the theme paintings of "window" series in Edward Hopper’s works reproduce modern urban landscape,starting from the viewing Angle of"window" in painting.By comparing the use of "window" by different painters and Edward Hopper,this paper analyzes the influence of"window" on space in painting,explores the symbolic and metaphorical meaning of "window",and shows how Edward Hopper,as a city dweller,reproduces the modern urban landscape and pays attention to the spirit of The Times and the spiritual world of human beings.This paper aims to answer the question of the influence and effect of the painting element "window" on the reproduction of modern urbanlandscape.The purpose of this paper is to learn Edward Hopper’s painting techniques and draw from his experience in modern urban landscape painting by combining his understanding of the reproduction of modernurban landscape with the theme paintings of "window" series.Analyze and understand the ways of expressing emotion through the works,and finally reproduce the modern urban landscape in the contemporary context. |
