In recent years,adolescent mental health problems have aroused the attention of the whole society.Domestic and foreign studies have shown that depression increases significantly in the adolescent period.Adolescent depression is a problem worthy of attention and research.Junior high school students are in adolescence,the imbalance of physical and mental development leads to their semi-mature and semi-childish ambivalence,and their emotions are easily affected by the outside world.Meanwhile,during this period,the focus of their communication gradually shifts from family to peers.Studies have shown that peer communication has a very important effect on individual mental health.Peer acceptance and friendship support,as two levels of the phenomenological level of peer relationship,also play an important role in individual mental health.Many scholars have explored the relationship between these two variables and other variables.At present,a large number of studies have been conducted to intervene in different research variables through peer communication,which has achieved considerable results in various fields.It can be seen that intervention from the perspective of peer relationship is a scientific and effective path.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss the improvement and prevention of depression from the perspective of peer relationship.Asher Student Peer relationship Scale,Friendship Quality Questionnaire(FQQ)and PHQ-9 depression scale were used in this study.568 junior high school students in a middle school in Jiangsu Province were taken as research objects.Data were input by SPSS25.0 and variables were analyzed,and then the relationship between the three was further understood through interviews.According to the research results,the corresponding curriculum plan is developed.The following conclusions are reached:(1)The overall level of junior middle school students’ peer relationship has no significant difference in gender,grade and whether they take class posts.Peer acceptance(i.e.,welcome)has significant differences in gender,grade and whether they take class posts.(2)The friendship quality of junior high school students has no significant difference in gender,but has significant difference in grade and whether they take class position;There was no significant difference in gender in friendship support,but significant difference in grade and whether to take the class position.(3)Depression of junior middle school students has no significant difference in gender,grade and whether they take class position;(4)Peer acceptance and friendship support are correlated with depression in junior middle school students;There was a significant negative correlation between peer acceptance and depression,a significant negative correlation between friendship support and depression,a significant positive correlation between peer acceptance and friendship support.(5)Peer acceptance of junior high school students has a mediating effect on friendship support and depression.
