Documentary images present life and use it to preserve memory,activate memory and construct emotions.In the rapidly developing China,cities are rapidly expanding and the countryside is gradually declining.People’s memories of their homeland are hidden by the gray forest built by steel and concrete,and when they look back at the past,it is hard to find the way back.In view of this,nostalgia documentaries are gradually coming into people’s view.Unlike music,text and other art forms,documentaries take real people as their subjects,so they can show the contents and convey emotions more intuitively and realistically through images.This paper examines how "nostalgia" as a landscape,emotion and memory is presented and constructed in documentaries,so that viewers can receive and generate a "nostalgic emotion" in the process of watching,to find and realize their own identity.In the opening part,the article compares the development background and path of nostalgia element documentaries,and presents the different characteristics and classics of nostalgia element documentaries in different periods and times.In the main part,the article focuses on how the documentaries on nostalgia elements construct memories and how they can evoke real emotions through the depiction of people,scenes and things.Also,it draws on the knowledge of human geography to explore the significance of the relationship between people and places in the documentary on nostalgia elements for the construction of nostalgic emotions.After that,the article returns to the study of the characteristics of the documentary itself.By exploring the characteristics of the documentary itself,the article again explains how the documentary on nostalgia elements constructs emotions and conveys nostalgia.Through exploring this issue,we expect to explore the way to ease the relationship between urban and rural. |
