| The musical elements of the Hakka wedding ceremony music Marry the Good Man are applied to the Chinese Marriage,a Suona concerto,combined with Western compositional techniques to create a tragic Suona concerto in a festive style,which are rich in dramatic tension and musical imagination.The concerto utilizes the traditional Suona and the keyed alto Suona.It is the first time to widen the range of the Suona concerto,which greatly enriches the acoustics of the piece and enhances its expression and preserves the traditional Suona style and incorporating modern musical language.It is also Suona concerto composed with Lingnan music as its material.In this paper,we will elaborate on Chinese Marriage from three aspects: musical characteristics,the use of the Suona,and performance analysis. |
