Practice And Research On Distance Teaching Of Undergraduate Course "Chinese Ancient Novels" For International Students Under The Background Of The Epidemic

Since the COVID-19 epidemic swept the world,in order to solve the teaching dilemma faced by the special group of international students,distance teaching,which has gradually developed in recent years,has been quickly and widely used in the teaching of international students.This paper focuses on the two centers of Distance Teaching under the background of the epidemic and the course of Chinese ancient novels for undergraduate students.Based on the teaching situation of foreign students in the Chinese Department,on the basis of teaching practice and investigation and research,design teaching cases and explore the curriculum construction of ancient Chinese novels under special circumstances.Briefly,the paper is divided into five main parts.The first is the introduction,which introduces the reasons for choosing the topic from three aspects: the increasing number of international students studying in China,the important status of ancient literature,and personal teaching assistant experience;then,the current situation of distance teaching research on the undergraduate course "Chinese Ancient Novels" for international students in the academic world under the background of the epidemic is launched.The investigation and review mainly involve the teaching situation of international students in the context of the epidemic and the study of ancient literature study of international students majoring in Chinese language and literature.Secondly,analyze and research several syllabuses on cultural teaching for international students,discuss the importance and specific teaching methods of cultural teaching,combined with the core content of ancient novels,to compile a "Chinese Ancient Novel Course Syllabus" suitable for international students in the Chinese Department,to provide reference for teaching practice.Thirdly,based on the above syllabus and the actual Chinese proficiency of international students,select classic chapters for teaching design as specific teaching cases for further research,including the important vernacular novels "Journey to the West" and "A Dream of Red Mansions",as well as The excellent work in the vernacular short story "Du Shiniang sinks the treasure chest in anger".Fourthly,thinking about the case of distance teaching,combining the author’s teaching assistant experience and questionnaire survey,thinking about the problems existing in the teaching process,and exploring teaching methods,trying to enhance the teaching effect.Fifthly,it considers the dilemma in the practical application of distance teaching,and proposes several implementation strategies to provide guarantees for distance teaching from various aspects,in order to promote the long term and high quality development of international Chinese distance teaching for international students.
