An Exploration Of The Use Of Electronic Music In Film

The development of film and electronic music is inseparable from the advancement of technology,from its birth to the present,film and electronic music have experienced a century of development,the introduction of electronic music has broken traditional music’s inherent creative thinking and creation,allowing music to expand from linear thinking to a non-linear way of thinking structure,for example,from the elements of pitch melody,rhythm and harmony to space,sound and sound itself,the above The emergence of these new forms has opened up new areas of music and new aural enjoyment,pushing the development of music and bringing a special audiovisual experience to film,where recording technology has laid the foundation for the realization of film sound and electronic music.This thesis explores the three parts of the thesis by using a research method that uses a review of the literature and an analysis of the summary and an experimental demonstration of sound.Firstly,the birth and development of sound recording technology are discussed,followed by the development of film sound and electronic music,sound design,and the influence of electronic music language on creative thinking.The experimental analysis is conducted and summarised for illustration.The research focuses on how electronic music is used and realized in film.The experimental approach is to use the film "A Quiet Place" as an example and to select sounds from the film that reflect the unique creative concept of the film "Silent Land" and the rich diversity of electronic music techniques used to design the target samples and objects.The original sound samples created using mimicry are then processed and manipulated using recording,collage,and editing techniques,and the edited sound samples are then deformed and reshaped using electronic music technology in the digital age of electronic music.The experimental tools used in this study are divided into software,plug-ins,and effects.These include the Cubase10 digital audio workstation and its audio processor,GRM Tools plug-in,Waves plug-in,Fab Filter plug-in,Oneknob Louder volume gain effect,time-stretching processing tool for variable speed,Pro-Q~3 equalizer,Tremolo effect,Reverb effect The sound effects include the Doppler,the Delay,the Phaser,and the Sound Shifter.The above theoretical and practical analysis is used to illustrate the mutual promotion and development of film and electronic music technology,as well as the diversity of electronic music technology tools used in the film,and to provide some thoughts and analysis methods for the application of electronic music in film.
