Technology has developed rapidly and has become a part of our life.From the third industrial revolution brought about by the invention of the computer Internet to the fourth industrial revolution focusing on digitization,intellectualization and networking,and the popularity of the Internet,contemporary people have entered the era of all Internet users,and the related big data and intelligent technology are more widely used in real life,It is in this context that network art came into being and continues to develop.In today’s era when network art has become popular,this paper studies network art from the perspective of one of the main creative artists and from the perspective of creative approaches.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the relevant research of network art.The second chapter first introduces the historical background of the development of the Internet.Based on this background,it combs the development context of network art with time clues,lists representative artists,and summarizes the characteristics of different stages.The development of technology is an important factor to promote the development of network art.The third chapter focuses on the creative methods and characteristics of network art relying on different technologies.Artists rely on the characteristics of different technologies to create.Combined with specific work cases,this chapter analyzes several main online art,browser art,game art,Generative Art,blockchain art and fault art,and discusses different creative methods and new topics brought by different technologies and their contexts.The fourth chapter further analyzes the influence of network art.On the positive side,it makes the presentation of works diversified.It actively intervenes in daily life,strengthens the connection between the public and art,and the way of viewing changes from traditional gaze to participating in and leading the generation and development of artistic works.Network art also promotes the change of exhibition and collection system.Art exhibition changes from offline to online.The freedom of network art in space and time makes art truly daily.At the same time,network art also has problems caused by being coerced by technology.Blindly pursuing technological innovation,art has become dazzling technology,resulting in the inversion of art and science and technology in network art.The humanity and artistry of network art need to be strengthened.While the popularization of network art brings more interaction,it may lead to vulgarization and superficialization in order to make the works too cater to the public,and become a landscape.This paper aims to sort out and analyze the art type of network art,which fits the current era of science and technology,discuss the changes of aesthetic methods and aesthetic ethics from the perspective of creative approach,and reflect on it.The fifth chapter discusses the problems of personal information leakage and network public opinion in the network society with the help of network art,and explores the network interaction and the use of algorithms for image production.
