| Zdzis(?)aw Beksiński(1929.2.24-2005.2.21)was an influential Polish,European and American artist, painter, photographer and sculptor of the 20 th century.Beksiński is known for his dark and macabre paintings of the "Dream Period".When we see bizarre images in Becksinski’s paintings, their existence has no realistic meaning and is even opposed to symbolism, these images may originate from Becksinski’s obsessive ego world and ego subconscious.Through the use of neuropsychoanalysis,we explore the subconscious in the creation of Becksinski’s paintings, and analyze the content of Becksinski’s letters with friends and the influence of his childhood experiences on his paintings,in order to explore the subconscious behind his paintings. The author is interested in oil painting and drawing. The main reason for this thesis to focus on the paintings and drawings and not to interpret the meaning of specific images within his paintings as much as possible is that Bechsinsky was against the viewer interpreting his paintings with symbolic meaning.Beksinski’s paintings record subconscious impressions, dream visions, and these subliminal images give very strong emotional reflections, and dense works full of skulls, crosses or spider webs give meaning, which originates from the subconscious behind these meanings. The breakthrough in the study of the subconscious in Becksinski’s paintings lies in our ability to decipher the limits set by him on the level of thought,Becksinski does not explain the content of his paintings, nor does he give them names,we can only see the "windows" that Becksinski depicts,we see the "windows " We see the shape and decoration of the "windows" and the view that can be presented through them, but Becksinski refuses to let the viewer’s hand reach out to the window and touch or get anything out of the window, which is itself a kind of imagination and feeling.Only by understanding Baksinski’s past and the subconscious behind it can we understand the true vision of his heart.Beksinski’s works are mysterious and magical, the unnamed atmosphere of the images is composed of the subconscious of loneliness fear and anxiety. In the face of fear and loneliness, few people dare to enter the depths of our desolate hearts, but Beksinski is such a person, for he stands in a space and time where few people can stand down and find visions full of bleakness through his eyes. |
