| Seal script occupies the first place in both the development of Chinese characters and the history of calligraphy.When it comes to seal script,we have to mention the Stone Drum Script,which is one of the earliest extant stone inscriptions.There are many explanations about the specific production period of seal script.Since the discovery of the Qin stone drum in the Tang Dynasty,many scholars have noticed its calligraphy value successively and researched and verified it.The Rubbings of Shi Gu Wen have also become an important model for many calligraphers to study and study.The stone drum,called "the first antique in China" by Mr.Kang Youwei,is deeply loved by the artist Wu Changshuo.During the decades of learning the stone drum script,Wu Changshuo explored the beauty of the stone drum and felt the interest of the stone drum.Under the influence of the stone drum script,his seal script developed new ideas and formed a school,which is another peak in the history of seal script.His achievements have a positive reference for later calligraphers to learn seal script.This article focuses on the rubbings of the Stone Drum Inscription and Wu Changshuo’s "Stone Drum Inscription" as the main research objects.Using a combination of historical documents and image analysis,it analyzes the calligraphy characteristics of the "Stone Drum Inscription" by sorting out the existing rare copies and the learning situation of later generations,providing practical and theoretical guidance for the author’s graduation creation.The author mainly conducts research on it from four aspects: first,a brief introduction to "Shi Gu Wen" and a study of the survival of the rare copies of "Shi Gu Wen";Secondly,a detailed introduction was given to Wu Changshuo,a renowned seal calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty,and the "Stone Drum Wen";Once again,summarize the influence of Wu Changshuo on the style of calligraphy in later generations through the works of seal calligraphers and previous national exhibitions in the late Qing and early Republic of China;Finally,based on the author’s own analysis and creative practice of Wu Changshuo’s "Stone Drum Prose",this paper elaborates on the inspiration of Wu Changshuo’s "Stone Drum Prose" for the copying and creation of seal script practitioners in later generations. |
