Inspiration And Reflection On Contemporary Animation Creation From The Diversity Of Experimental Animation Creation Techniques

Experimental animation originated in the early 20th century.With the enthusiasm of artists to create and explore new art forms,after more than 100 years of development,numerous excellent art works were born.These works have different styles and creative techniques,which embody the rich imagination and creativity of artists.As a product of the combination of art and technology,artists are committed to exploring the possibilities of new materials and technologies for experimental animation art forms,and experimental animation also provides broad space for artists to explore and experiment with its great tolerance.They have creatively created a variety of experimental animation creation techniques,which greatly enriched the form and connotation of experimental animation.Norman Mc Claren,as one of the most representative experimental animation masters in the 20th century,created and used a variety of creative techniques to create a large number of classic experimental animation works,affecting many outstanding animation artists of later generations.This paper analyzes and summarizes the creative experience and characteristics of experimental animation by studying various creative techniques in experimental animation creation and taking Mc Laren’s experimental animation creation practice as an example,in order to provide reference and inspiration for the creative practice of experimental animation.Firstly,this paper introduces the related concepts and development origin of experimental animation;Secondly,based on the four aspects of material selection,shooting media,narrative strategy and graphic performance,this paper analyzes the diversified creative techniques of experimental animation in combination with work cases;After that,it focuses on Mc Claren’s experimental animation creation.Through sorting out his artistic creation experience and the influence of his artistic style,it studies Mc Claren’s exploration and practice of experimental animation creation techniques from four perspectives: creation materials,use of symbolic symbols,exploration of music visualization and technological innovation;Finally,the author puts forward the inspiration and thinking of the diversified creative techniques for contemporary animation creation.
