The “Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards” revised by the Ministry of Education in 2022 highlights the core literacy-oriented concept of life-based education.The classroom is no longer a place for teachers to sing a one-man show,but pays more attention to the teaching interaction field constructed between teachers and students under the guidance of teachers,so that every student can actively integrate into learning in the classroom.This demands teachers to scientifically allocate their own teaching time in the classroom,facilitate their enthusiasm for learning,maximize their development and achieve effective teaching based on the development of subjects.Therefore,this study adopted the literature method,questionnaire method and observation method to investigate and analyze the classroom time management of novice English teachers in junior high school,found the problems of classroom time management of novice English teachers in junior high school,analyzed the reasons and combines the teacher’s self-oriented theory to provide corresponding countermeasures to improve classroom time arrangement.The research content consists of five parts,the first part is the reason for the topic selection,the purpose and significance of the research,the definition of the concept,the research content and methods,and the literature review;The second part is the theoretical basis of the research,mainly introducing the theory of self-orientation and time management;The third part is the investigation of the current situation of classroom time management of novice English teachers in junior high school from the perspective of self-oriented theory,which analyzes the current situation of classroom time management of novice English teachers in junior high school from the five dimensions of time awareness,time planning,time monitoring,time regulation and time reflection,and analyzes it from the five perspectives of gender,educational background,teaching grade,number of teaching classes,and teaching age.The fourth part is the problems and attribution of classroom time management of novice English teachers in junior high school from the perspective of self-oriented theory.It is found that novice English teachers in junior high school have the classroom time management problems of ignoring the temporality,timeliness,importance,scientificalness and variability,also analyzed the main reasons of lack of self-oriented awareness,unclear goals,loose behavior,and unclear knowledge for novice English teachers in junior high school.The fifth part is the countermeasures of classroom time management for novice English teachers in junior high school,which is proposed from the perspectives of selforiented awareness,self-directed goals and self-directed behavior respectively.It is hoped that through this research,it can play a certain role in how to cultivate the teaching quality of new English teachers in the junior high school during the process of teaching,so that to promote the middle school new English teaching to a certain extent.
