With the improvement of urban infrastructure construction and people’s living quality,leisure cycling,as a way of fitness and entertainment,is favored by more urban residents,stimulating the market demand and development of bicycle navigation products.At present,it is still common to read map navigation with mobile phone while cycling in China.Therefore,bicycle navigation products have problems such as lack of entertainment in path planning,high efficiency in interaction mode,diversification in product functions,and comfort in riding posture.This shows that there is great room for progress in the design of bicycle navigation products in China.Therefore,with the background of design disciplines,this study focuses on the opportunity point of urban leisure cycling,aiming to complete the design of bicycle navigation products with hardware and software combination,innovative and efficient interaction,reasonable modeling structure,rich and satisfying functions,so as to improve users’ leisure experience in the whole process of urban cycling.This study consists of two parts: theory and practice.The first chapter is the introduction.It reviews the relevant research status at home and abroad,defines the concepts of urban recreational cycling and bicycle navigation products,and clarifies the research goals and significance.The second chapter is the correlative research of bicycle navigation products.It mainly analyzes the current situation and development of bicycle navigation products,compares the advantages and disadvantages of different navigation interaction modes such as visual,auditory and tactile in domestic and foreign relevant product cases,and points out the direction for subsequent design.The third chapter is the demand analysis of urban recreational cycling users.It mainly obtains the physiological and psychological needs of recreational cycling users based on questionnaire survey and interview,providing reliable support for the design.The fourth chapter puts forward the design method.It mainly studies bicycle navigation products that have landed in recent years,summarizes the design principles and methods of urban leisure cycling navigation products,in order to guide design practice.The fifth chapter shows and explains the practical results of the graduation project "Happy Riding".It mainly describes the target user portrait and user journey map of this research to further clarify the design objectives,and theories such as interaction mode and man-machine relationship are applied to software and hardware design.Then the design scheme of product use flow,hardware modeling and software interface is completed,and the usability of the product is verified by testing.The last chapter is the review and summary of design study.It mainly sums up the solutions to the key problems with the design results and reflects on the shortcomings and improvement direction.This study hopes to supply some inspiration and experience for future research on the design of bicycle navigation products in urban leisure cycling scenarios.
