With the increase in public hygiene awareness and the issuance of relevant policy documents such as the “3-6 Years Old Children’s Learning and Development Guide”the cultivation of children’s hygiene habits has become a growing concern throughout society.Playthings,as products that combine entertainment and education and are favored by parents,have good prospects for development in China’s market for children’s hygiene habit-forming playthings.However,current domestic products vary in quality and face problems such as serious homogenization and lack of fun,and therefore have room for development compared to foreign products.Against this background,this study is based on the discipline of design and focuses on the design of hygiene habit-forming playthings with novel shapes,structures,and interactive methods that have good functional effects,in combination with preschool children’s developmental theories.This research is divided into two parts: theory and practice.In Chapter 1,the introduction defines the research object,reviews the relevant research status at home and abroad,and clarifies the purpose,significance,and innovation of this study.Chapter2 focuses on the current development of play and teaching aids for the development of hygiene habits,including the concept of hygiene habits education and the analysis of the market for play and teaching aids for the development of hygiene habits.Based on the analysis of the products’ advantages and disadvantages,corresponding design directions are proposed.Chapter 3 examines the physiological,cognitive,and social development theories of preschool children and summarizes the specific characteristics and needs of preschool children in hygiene habit formation education through questionnaire research and user interviews.Chapter 4 presents the design principles and methods.Based on recent academic achievements and product practices in this field,the design principles and methods of preschool children’s play and teaching aids for the development of hygiene habits are proposed.Chapter 5 presents the design practice,and based on the product positioning and design concept,the above design methods are applied to complete the design of preschool children’s hygiene habit-forming playthings.Finally,Chapter 6 concludes the study with a summary and outlook,aiming to provide a new perspective on the design of playthings for the development of hygiene habits among preschool children and to provide a reference for the development of hygiene habits among preschool children in China from the perspective of the design profession.
