Research On The Design Of Cultural Derivatives Based On Visual Symbols Of Ba Shu Culture

With the deepening of China’s reform and opening up,diversified culture and economic development gradually change people’s view of consumption,from material satisfaction to spiritual consumption.Although China’s cultural and creative industries have started late,they have provided shortcuts for some cultural derivative design enterprises and brands,and also formed new problems,relying on the deep cultural heritage of Chinese people and the advantages of different regional cultures and multi-ethnic groups.The lack of in-depth research on traditional culture and visual symbols has brought confusion in the design of cultural derivative products in terms of content and expression,and has also formed a certain obstacle to the dissemination and inheritance of traditional culture.This project takes the ancient area of Ba Shu as the scope object of cultural visual symbol extraction and application,and searches for the spirit and cultural connotation of creation,the principle and method of symbol extraction,and the form expression and connotation dissemination of practice.The research of this topic starts from discovering the cultural characteristics of the Ba Shu region,retrieving and integrating the spiritual connotation and specific representations,collecting the current situation of the application of the visual symbols of Ba Shu culture,and exploring their realistic application value from three perspectives: cultural awareness and popularization,emotional transfer and empathy,and visual enhancement and reproduction.Secondly,this project researches and analyzes the current situation of the application of the visual symbols of Ba Shu in cultural derivative products,tries to provide strategies and ways to solve the problems arising from them,and explores the methods of applying Ba Shu cultural symbols in future cultural derivative product design,focusing on the principles of transformation of Ba Shu culture in design from the levels of classical preservation,imagery expression,cultural association and combining with the context of the times.Finally,through the application of cultural symbols,the transformation of cultural symbols and the discovery of the practical significance of cultural applications,the theoretical study and case study on the prototypical expression,formal grafting and the realization of virtual and reality of the visual symbols of Ba Shu in cultural derivative products are launched to break the current stereotype of traditional Chinese culture and to seek new product design ideas and application strategies for designers in the mother theme of regional culture.The theoretical research and case studies will break the stereotype of Chinese traditional culture and seek new product design ideas and application strategies for designers in the mother theme of regional culture.
