The Han Dynasty was the first peak period in the history of Chinese calligraphy.The official script with epoch-making significance gradually developed and matured,becoming the most representative writing style of the Han Dynasty and achieving extremely high achievements,and becoming the authentic one for later generations to learn official script.The Han Dynasty official script mainly has two major systems,namely bamboo slips,handwriting ink and inscriptions,which are not only interrelated but also distinct,both of which present rich and varied styles.The Jingyun Tablet studied in this paper is a relatively late unearthed clerical inscription.Influenced by the culture of Central Plains,this monument follows the shape,structure and engraving norms of Han tablets.While retaining certain regional characteristics,it also achieves quite high level in the calligraphy art.It is not only the representative of the calligraphy of our country southwest,but also the rare fine work of two Han Dynasty official script inscribed in inscription.The in-depth study of its calligraphy style is an important supplement to the history of calligraphy in the Han Dynasty and the Bashu region,and also helps to further explore the historical truth in the course of the transformation of official script.At the same time,it can provide some reference and inspiration for its own and contemporary official script creation.
