At present,the global economic recovery is accelerating,but the overall situation is still in a downturn.Under the background of vigorously promoting digital transformation in China,the digital economy is becoming an important force to promote the economy.This paper explores the influence mechanism of enterprise digitalization on leadership goal-oriented behavior,and specifically examines the mediating role of leadership management self-efficacy and the moderating role of bottom-line thinking(a single way of thinking that only focuses on bottom-line goals such as profits and ignores other matters).Based on S-O-R theory(stimulus-organism-response model)and self-awareness theory,the research adopts a three-point,multi-source questionnaire survey between leaders and employees(leader N = 114,employee N = 397),and the data collection interval is 2 weeks.At time point 1,the digitalization degree of enterprises evaluated by leaders and the thinking degree of leaders’ bottom line evaluated by employees are collected,and at time point 2,the management self-efficacy degree evaluated by leaders is collected.Mplus8.0was used for data analysis.The results show that enterprise digitalization can positively affect leaders’ management self-efficacy,and management self-efficacy can mediate the positive effect of enterprise digitalization on leadership goal-oriented behavior.The relationship between enterprise digitalization and leadership’s management self-efficacy is regulated by leadership’s bottom line thinking.Specifically,for leaders with high bottom line thinking(compared with leaders with low bottom line thinking),enterprise digitalization has a stronger relationship with their management self-efficacy.Furthermore,the bottom line thinking of leaders will strengthen the positive relationship between enterprise digitalization and leadership goal-oriented behavior,that is,compared with leaders with low bottom line thinking,leaders with high bottom line thinking are more likely to be influenced by digitalization to improve management self-efficacy,and then affect their goal-oriented behavior.The conclusion of this paper enlightens enterprises to pay attention to the bottom line thinking of leaders,cultivate leaders’ positive understanding of enterprise digitalization and give full play to the positive role of enterprise digitalization in leadership goal-oriented behavior.
