Exploration And Practice Of Landscape Painting With Blank Space To Create An Ethereal Environment

As the main creative genre of Chinese painting,landscape painting still shows great vitality and vigor in today’s art world.In the world of landscape painting,where brush and ink are the main means of expression,leaving white space is the main technique to create the mood of the picture.The white space is a blend of profound traditional culture and philosophical thought,and through the white space technique of using white against black,using less to win more,and using emptiness to reflect reality,it creates a distant and ethereal form of painting.For landscape painting,leaving white space not only generates the brush and ink techniques of painting,but also promotes the formation of the language system of art,and can render and create the ethereal realm beyond the mortal world.Combined with my own creative experience and the knowledge of aesthetics,philosophy and art painting,this paper aims to systematically study the practice of leaving white space in landscape painting to create an ethereal realm.Firstly,it explains the aesthetic connotation of leaving white space and ethereal realm in landscape painting,and composes the philosophical basis and aesthetic pursuit of"leaving white space" and "ethereal" aesthetic realm.Secondly,it discusses in detail the expression techniques of leaving white space to create ethereal realm,that is,in the process of creating painting,we follow the method of using empty objects as the purpose,simplicity as the layout,and simplicity as the processing of ink and brush.Finally,it introduces the creative practice and perception of"leaving white space" in landscape painting to create the "realm of emptiness",so that we can create the image beyond images and create the rhyme through the language of leaving white space,which is the language of painting.
