A Study Of Rarely-used Chinese Characters In Shuo Wen Horse Radical From The Perspective Of Word System

From the perspective of word system,we can have a clearer and deeper understanding of the usage,meaning,origin and cause of rarely-used Chinese characters.The character system of Shuo Wen · Horse Radical is closely related to the lexical system.Based on the material of Shuo Wen · Horse Radical,this paper conducts the following research:The close relationship between the character system and the lexical system of Shuo Wen · Horse Radical is investigated,and then the character system is upgraded to the lexical system,and the basic material arrangement for the rarely-used Chinese characters research in this paper is completed from the perspective of the combination of character and lexical system.Relatively speaking,the lexical system is more conducive to the in-depth discussion of many problems of rarely-used Chinese characters,so this paper mainly analyzes and explains rarely-used Chinese characters from the perspective of lexical system.On the basis of systematic arrangement,the classification of rarely-used Chinese characters in Shuo Wen · Horse Radical was carried out,and the usage rules of rarelyused Chinese characters were further summarized after the investigation of the specific usage of each rare character in the past dynasties.Level 1 rarely-used Chinese characters use frequency is relatively low,a total of 28,they are mainly included in dictionaries,rhyme books.Secondary rarely-used Chinese characters have a relatively high frequency of use,with a total of 23,and most of them have specific literature use cases.On the basis of the investigation of character usage,this paper investigates the meaning of rarely-used Chinese characters in Shuo Wen · Horse Radical.The specific investigation methods are as follows: study the meaning of rarely-used Chinese characters one by one in combination with dictionaries such as Grand Chinese Dictionary,Wang Li ancient Chinese Dictionary,Zi Yuan,Shuo Wen Jie Zi Note and Shuo Wen Jie Zi Yue Note.For some rarely-used Chinese characters in the definition of the dispute,this paper according to the rarely-used Chinese characters of the literature word use information to assist the judgment.After an in-depth investigation of various phenomena of rarely-used Chinese characters,the origin and cause of rarely-used Chinese characters are studied from two levels of character and lexical in the perspective of system.On the level of characters,the trend of phonograms and the differentiation of homologous characters have a great influence on the origin and cause of rarely-used Chinese characters.At the language level,the emergence of dialect words,the need of fine expression and the restriction of lexical system have a great impact on the origin and cause of rarelyused Chinese characters.
