Research On The Performance Of Yanzhao Music Elements In Liu Zili’s Violin Work “Festival”

The violin art has developed for hundreds of years and has gained momentum with the establishment of the People’s Republic of China due to the better environment created for the blooming of violin music,so that many excellent Chinese violin pieces have been composed.In terms of art study on Chinese violin music,it has been comprehensively focusing on famous composers such as Ma Sicong,Li Zili,etc.and their works,while relatively few studies on composers and works with equally distinctive creation,styles and regional characteristics are carried out.Happiness is a work strongly flavored with Yanzhao music style,as its composer,Liu Zili,integrated "Yanzhao Music Elements" into the composition of this work based on his ten-year work experience in the Shijiazhuang City Art Troupe.Based on this violin piece Happiness,the paper aims to give it a more comprehensive performing interpretation from the perspective of demonstrating "Yanzhao Music Elements" in Three Parts.In the First Part,it expatiates on the background of Happiness and the "Yanzhao Music Elements" employed.In the Second Part,it elaborates two types of "Yanzhao Music Elements" in the piece,including music elements of Tangshan Shadow Puppet which are expressed with violin techniques,such as glissando,vibrato,and staccato;and those of Jingxing Lahua folk music using spiccato with attention to the forte and beat.In the Third Part,the paper details the performance value and significance of "Yanzhao Music Elements".This paper intents to increase the popularity and influence of the Yanzhao music style through in-depth research on Happiness composed by Liu Zili,so as to contribute to the development of violin art in China,especially to the regional characteristics of the violin performance.
