Research On Online Teaching Of Chinese Characters As A Foreign Language Based On Component Teaching

Since 2020,the COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,and the learning mode of students has changed from the physical classes to the online classes.As a traditional subject in the research of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese character teaching is the key and difficulty in teaching.What will happen online is a problem that the academic circles should pay attention to.At present,there is no mature,systematic and widely recognized model for online teaching of Chinese characters as a foreign language,and there are few special research results for reference.As a traditional teaching method,most of the research results focus on the offline Chinese character teaching,and there is little research on the effect of the component teaching method in the online Chinese character teaching.Online teaching has become a trend.Whether the traditional teaching method can play a role in online teaching is facing severe challenges.Therefore,this study attempts to explore the effect of component teaching method in online teaching of Chinese characters as a foreign language through teaching experiments,so as to provide discussion and reference for teachers,students and academic circles.The research carried out three rounds of teaching experiments,and the experimental subjects’ Chinese proficiency was elementary.The subjects of the first and second round of teaching experiments are 16 international students from the international education college of Henan Polytechnic University,and the third round is 15 international students,including 8students from Henan University of Technology,5 students from Henan Polytechnic University,and 2 students from Zhengzhou University(collectively referred to as learners).The subjects of the first round and the third round of teaching experiments are different,and the teaching content is the same,18 Chinese character components,30 key Chinese characters and 30 supplementary Chinese characters are selected from lessons 16,17 and 18 of Volume 2 of the New Practical Chinese Textbook.The subjects of the first round and the second round of teaching experiments are the same,but the experimental contents are different,the experimental contents of the second round of teaching are 18 Chinese character components,30 key Chinese characters and 30 supplementary Chinese characters in lessons19,20 and 23 of Volume 2 of the New Practical Chinese Textbook.The teaching experiment is carried out through ZOOM platform.The purpose of this paper is to verify the effectiveness of the component teaching method in the online teaching of Chinese characters as a foreign language.Three rounds of teaching experiments are carried out.Through horizontal comparison and vertical comparison,the factors that may interfere with the experimental results are eliminated to ensure that the experimental results are scientific and objective.The experimental results show that applying the traditional component teaching method to the online teaching of Chinese characters as a foreign language can achieve remarkable teaching results.But at the same time,we should also pay attention to some problems in the experimental process,such as component errors,pronunciation of word forming components,and some technical problems of online teaching.To solve these problems,we can strengthen the teaching of the basic knowledge of the basic phonetic teaching parts of the character parts to cultivate the awareness of the local and the whole of Chinese characters,and at the same time,we should strengthen the construction of network facilities to provide network guarantee for the online teaching of foreign Chinese characters.There are 4 figures,16 tables and 56 references.
