In recent years, the mental health problems of college students in China have emerged constantly. As an important cognitive function to predict the development of individual mental health, executive function plays an important role in the physical and mental development of college students.Good executive function will have a positive impact on college students’ cognition, emotion and interpersonal relationship. Therefore, how to improve the executive function has become a widely studied issue.A large number of studies have proved that physical activities can improve the executive function. With the progress of digital media platform, there has emerged a form of exercise that not only takes into account a certain exercise intensity, but also has a strong interest——exergame. This study takes exergame as an intervention form.On the basis of previous studies,it divides the impact of exergames on executive function by intervention time, and discusses the dose of exercise intensity and cognitive participation in a single exergame,as well as the dose of intervention time in long-term exergames,so as to determine the dose effect of exergames on college students’ executive function. This study has two experiments,In experiment 1,69 college students were given a training intervention with different exercise intensity and cognitive participation, and 2(exercise intensity: high and low)× 2(cognitive participation: high and low). The experimental was designed for compare the effect of exercise intensity and cognitive participation on executive function in a single exergame,so as to determine the best difficulty dose of a single exergame. In experiment 2,24 college students were randomly divided into the exergame group and the control group. The exergame group received exergame training for 8 weeks,3 times a week, and the executive function of the two groups of college students was measured before,1 week,4 weeks,6 weeks, and 8 weeks. It was determined that after the exergame training, the executive function of college students had significantly improved,So as to determine the best time dose of long-term motion video. The results show that a single exergame can significantly improve the executive function of college students. The refresh function and conversion function are dominated by cognitive participation in the exergame, while the inhibition control function is only affected by the exercise intensity in the exergame.Long-term exergames can significantly improve the executive function of college students, and the improvement effect of 4-week training on the executive function of college students will not increase significantly. This suggests that a exergame can improve the executive function of college students, and there is a dose-effect relationship between the two.The exercise intensity and cognitive participation during the game have a selective impact on the three sub-functions of executive function. There is a "L" relationship between the long-term exergame intervention cycle and the improvement of college students’ executive function.4 weeks of game intervention was most effective.
