| The General Syllabus for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language points out that"cultural competence" is an essential element for foreign students to use the language appropriately,and is one of the important directions and goals of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The sudden COVID-19 has prompted China to take the online teaching mode,and it will continue in the post epidemic era.Online teaching has had a number of important effects on the cultural teaching.Therefore,whether the online teaching mode can achieve the goal of the Outline has become a topic which worths exploring.Therefore,this paper will focus on this issue and base on the series of courses studied by foreign students at a university in east China to investigate their teaching status.Corresponding optimization strategies will be proposed according to the results.The author will use the methods of questionnaire,interview and classroom log recording to investigate.The survey is mainly aimed at the students whose Chinese level is at the primary and intermediate levels,and most of them are at the primary level.80 foreign students of the school were given questionnaires,and 5 teachers were interviewed through interview analysis.The conclusion is that online cultural teaching can achieve the expected training goal.The limitation is that we do not target at the advanced-level students at the intermediate or advanced Chinese level.In view of the problems reviewed in the survey,the author proposes several problem-solving strategies if online teaching becomes the teaching norm.Firstly,the country should take translation as an important way to publicize China.Secondly,teachers should actively change their mentality to adapt to online teaching.Thirdly,the college should develop a flexible evaluation system according to the situation.Fourthly,teachers should develop the lifelong learning style and pay attention to the teaching of implicit culture.Fifthly,rich digital resources must be paid attention to and used by the teachers.At last but not the least,universities can make full use of the characteristics of electronic information and actively develop the smart teaching models. |
