On The Writing Of Love In Dostoevsky’s Novels

Fyodor Mikhainovich Dostoevsky(Фёдор Михайлович Достоевский,1821-1881)was a famous Russian writer.He is good at depicting the deep,morbid and crazy characters’ psychological world,so his works are called "psychological realism".In Dostoevsky’s novels,love writing is an important clue running through his novels.The connotation of love writing in Dostoevsky’s novels is mainly divided into the following three points: the love of purity and fantasy,the love of masochism and perversion,and the love of altruism and sacredness.Pure and fantasy love,describing pure and full of fantasy,fast and short love;masochistic and perverted love,exploring the choice of male characters’ erotic objects,the way men and women get along in love relationships and the relationship between the subject and the other.Inversion psychology;altruistic and divine love,depicts the love psychology of sacrificing oneself to fulfill others under the obstruction and destruction of the incarnation of the big other,and the divine love that sublimates from it.There are three main reasons for the love writing of Dostoevsky’s novels:Dostoevsky’s traumatic life experience,Orthodox religious beliefs and the cultural transformation of authoritarian society.In Dostoevsky’s life,his marriage with Maria and his extramarital affair with Suslova,the death of a close relative and his life experience in exile in Siberia for hard labor had a profound impact on the writing of love in his novels.At the critical moment of the transformation of the times,the originally dull,conservative and autocratic tsarist Russia once again opened its door to the West and suffered a strong impact from Western ideology.It reflects the cultural conflict between Russia and Europe.The religious beliefs of the Eastern Orthodox Church not only affected Dostoevsky’s life,but also the religious prototype and religious spirit of the Eastern Orthodox Church deeply affected his writing of love,guiding him to seek the salvation of his soul.Facing the ancient proposition of love,Dostoevsky meticulously described the perverted erotic structure in love relationships,and profoundly revealed the phallocentrism and erotic dialectics hidden in it.At the same time,we must clearly recognize that the love psychology in Dostoevsky’s writings is mostly an inverted erotic structure,and the essence of his thoughts can only gain positive lessons through negative thinking.Through the ideological theory of feminism and anti-Phallocentrism,we should critically understand the perverted erotic structure in his novels,re-examine the relationship between the sexes under the patriarchal discourse system,and the inequality hidden behind it the power structure,thus adding a realistic meaning to the value of literature.
