Decorative Nature In Fine Brushwork Flower And Bird Painting

Fine brushwork flower-and-bird painting originated in the Wei dynasties.Since becoming an independent painting discipline in the Tang Dynasty,it has experienced a glorious peak in the Song Dynasty and a decline after the Yuan Dynasty.However,there are still classic works in the Ming dynasties,and in this development process,decoration has always been one of the important characteristics of fine brushwork flower-and-bird painting.The decorative nature of traditional Chinese meticulous flower and bird painting mainly embodies two aspects: line and color.Subjective selection and refinement on the line are highly generalized;In terms of color,it emphasizes the subjective expression of the painter’s emotions,expressing ideas through color,and has a strong sense of decorative beauty.Contemporary meticulous flower and bird painting painters combine the decorative expression techniques of Western and Japanese painting in inheriting the tradition,introducing the old to bring forth the new,and expressing the decorative through innovative composition forms,subjective processing of modeling,image color expression,and other aspects.At the same time,contemporary meticulous flower and bird painting painters pay attention to the expression of formal beauty such as rhythm and rhythm in the screen.This article discusses the decorative performance of traditional meticulous flower and bird painting and contemporary meticulous flower and bird painting,exploring and researching the decorative performance from three aspects: composition,modeling,and color,and applying it to the author’s creation,integrating theory with practice.In my creation,I mainly elaborate on the use of rhythm and rhythm,deformation and exaggeration,emotion and artistic conception in decoration,and appreciate the decorative beauty in meticulous flower and bird paintings."
