Research On The Image-building Of Women In Rural Documentaries

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in his speech at the symposium on decisive victory in poverty alleviation that "to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way,we must not only modernize cities,but also modernize agriculture and rural areas,and we must make greater efforts to promote rural revitalization." The coordinated development of urban and rural areas and the steady progress of the Rural Revitalization Strategy have broadened the documentary creators’ understanding of the current situation of the countryside and the living standards of the villagers,and the characters they portray have also kept pace with the times and undergone great changes.The image of rural women in rural documentaries is an important symbol of the development and changes in the new era.Through literature analysis,field investigation,case analysis,in-depth interviews and other methods,this paper studies the living conditions of rural women in Shangba Village,Baguazhou(sub-district)and the changes in the village community,and analyzes the image of rural women in the new era.The thesis is divided into six parts:The first chapter,the introduction,lays the groundwork for the comprehensive development of the research;the second chapter corresponds to the budding period(1990-2000),the all-round exploration and development period(2001-2015),and the media-based network exploration period(2015-2022)three stages of development,specifically analyzes the long evolution from "original" women to urban migrant women and then to rural women in the new era;the third chapter,by sorting out the documentary materials and watching documentary video materials,from emotion,content,The four aspects of value and technology analyze the problem of female image shaping in rural documentaries;the fourth chapter expounds the causes of the problem of female image shaping in rural documentaries,mainly from the subjective reasons of the creator and the objective reasons of the general environment.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the countermeasures based on the problem: First of all,it analyzes the relationship between the rural society carrying the rural culture and the image of rural women on the emotional level,emphasizing the combination of objective rural scenes and rural women’s subjective psychological activities.Secondly,in terms of content presentation,analyze the characteristics of female images from multiple perspectives such as appearance,behavior,and speech.Third,it explains how to make the female image more concrete and vivid from the perspective of narrative means.Finally,taking the lens,sound,light and shadow and color in audiovisual language as an example,it fully explained how to shape the image of women in rural documentaries,and also provided a sufficient theoretical basis for the graduation work Rural Heroine;sixth Zhang first introduced the social background,national policies and the development status of rural women related to the topic of the graduation work Rural Heroine;and selected two rural women representatives of different identities in Shangba Village,Baguazhou,Nanjing City as the shooting objects.The theoretical analysis of the previous article aims to achieve the unity of practicality and value of local documentary as much as possible.Through the above six chapters,this paper analyzes the problems related to the portrayal of female images in rural documentaries,discusses the causes of the problems,and finally puts forward specific optimization strategies for women image shaping in rural documentaries from four aspects: emotion,content,narrative,and technology,which provides new solutions and methods for the creation and creation of rural female characters in rural documentaries.
