The spread and development of Marxist literary theory in China is accompanied by the process of Sinicization of Marxism.In the early process of the Sinicization of Marxist literary theory,Chinese Marxists and countless advanced intellectuals played a key role.The literary societies formed with them as the main body,or the journals and magazines founded by them,formed a concentrated effect in the process of spreading Marxist literary theory,and directly affected the construction of Marxist literary theory in Chinese form.As a publication of the central organ of the League,China Youth takes the dissemination of Marxism as its important goal and plays an important role in the process of the Sinicization of Marxist literary theory.The dissemination of Marxist literary theory by Chinese Youth is mainly embodied in literary ontology,literary creation and literary function.On the ontology of literature and art,Chinese Youth believes that literature and art are reflections of social life and have an ideological nature,which is a prelude to the construction of proletarian revolutionary literature and art.On the theory of literary and artistic creation,Chinese Youth shows an obvious tendency of realism.It advocates that literary and artistic works should reflect China’s social reality,and believes that specific creative activities are restricted by material and times,and literary and artistic activities are relatively free.Based on this,it puts forward the requirement of "going to the people" for literary and art creators.On the function theory of literature and art,Chinese Youth emphasizes the social value of literature and art,and to some extent ignores the beauty value of literature and art.In the discussion of the object of literature and art service,from the cause of social reform to the revolution and then to the workers,China Youth gradually returns to the proletariat itself advocated in classical Marxist literary theory.On the whole,Chinese Youth basically conforms to the spirit of Marxist literary theory in terms of the understanding of the essence,creation and function of literature and art,which is an early practice of the sinicization of Marxist literary theory.Chinese Youth has rich experience in the process of spreading Marxist literary theory.It lays an ideological foundation for the dissemination of Marxist literary theory in China through the translation of Marxist theory.In the process of spreading Marxist literary and art thought,it advocates positive and enterprising realistic life,and integrates the outlook on life with the view of literature and art.It emphasizes the interaction with readers and promotes the spread of Marxist literary theory in China in the two-way communication with readers.However,compared with the classical Marxist literary theory,the phenomenon of "misreading" appeared in the process of the dissemination of Chinese Youth.Due to the excessive emphasis on the reflection of literature and art on social life,it directly led to the emergence of the theory of literary tools and affected the overall process of the Sinicization of Marxist literary theory.What’s more,China Youth even called for the abolition of literature and art for some time.Although these "misreading" phenomena have negative effects to a certain extent,as the early practice of the Sinicization of Marxist literary theory,they have certain enlightenment for the construction of Marxist literary theory in the present Chinese form.
