| At the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century,the qing dynasty was in the last years of its rule,and the internal problems of the feudal dynasty were fraught with problems,and the problems of political corruption,military backwardness,and financial constraints were constantly prominent.At the same time,the European powers have taken the lead in completing the industrial revolution,capitalism has developed rapidly,and the "claws" have begun to reach out to China,which is vast and weak.During this period,the wars waged by the European powers not only plundered commodity markets,colonies and raw materials,but also launched a series of artistic raids,looting almost all important ancient ruins and sites in the Han and Tang Dynasties,causing serious damage,and the excavated art treasures were also looted and plundered to Western countries.This paper takes the writings,notes,papers and research reports of the Western expedition in the late 19 th century and the early 20 th century as the theoretical basis,and combines the existing images,objects and other materials to summarize and sort out the historical materials of the artistic plunder of the Western expedition in this period.The first chapter,Introduction,defines the concept and attributes of art plunder in this period,as well as the scope of art robbery and the division of expeditions.The second chapter analyzes the motives of art plunder in the late 19 th century and early 20 th century,from the three aspects of colonial intentions,fame and fortune temptation,and artistic temptation,revealing the comprehensive factors of art plunder in this period.The third chapter restores the three ways of art robbery,such as stealing,stealing,and illegal trading,and analyzes the content,form,and characteristics of various types of robbery.The fourth chapter lists the painting robberies,sculpture robberies and arts and crafts robberies that appear in the historical materials of the artistic plunder of the Western expeditions,and sorts out the basic process of the expeditions to plunder.The fifth chapter draws charts and analyzes the basic characteristics of the artistic robbery of each expedition team,explores the destructiveness of the artistic plunder of the Western expedition team,sorts out the research results of the artistic robbery of the Western expedition team,and analyzes the academic ethics of the study of the art robbery.By combing through the historical materials of art robbery and sorting out the art robbery,the article sorts out the artistic plundering methods of the Western expeditions vertically,and then peeks at the development and evolution of the art robberies,analyzes the influence of the western expeditions in China from the horizontal,and then outlines the history of the art robberies in this period.The study of Chinese art plunder by Western expeditions in the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries helps us to have a clearer understanding of the breadth of Chinese art,a deeper understanding of the development of art history,and make up for the lack of research on the history of art plunder in the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries.It is of great significance to our study of art and cultural pluralism,and also plays an enlightening role in ensuring the ownership of art and works of art in today’s society. |
