Looking back at the 5,000-year history of China,after experiencing dynasty after dynasty and continuous social changes,the pursuit of a "Utopian world" by the working people has never changed.Since Tao Yuanming wrote "The Peach Blossom Spring" and his poetry,"The Peach Blossom Spring" has become a special cultural symbol,carrying the social ideals of ancient literati.At the same time,throughout the development history of Chinese artistic works,whether it is poetry,painting,or text,"The Peach Blossom Spring" has often been sung and performed by ancient literati,forming a unique form of style and aesthetic meaning in the process of artistic creation.With the advent of the visual era,"The Peach Blossom Spring" has become a constantly renewed symbol of emotional attachment,seen as a model of the "perfect world" for the Chinese,constantly existing and being performed as a part of the world of visual images.Therefore,by focusing on the art form of film and analyzing the characteristics of the "Peach Blossom Spring" image,we can better understand the essence and significance of "The Peach Blossom Spring" as a classic and continuously innovative construction method.Based on this,this paper systematically analyzes the image construction of "The Peach Blossom Spring" in film based on the film theory,in order to provide some ideas for incorporating "The Peach Blossom Spring" elements into film and attempt to construct the image of "The Peach Blossom Spring" in practice.The thesis consists of four parts.The first part takes narrative discourse as the research perspective,exploring the narrative construction strategy of movies with "Peach Blossom Garden" as the main element,analyzing its narrative theme,narrative strategy,and narrative structure,and combining it with Tao Yuanming’s ideology to explore the transcendent commonalities between the two,exploring the aesthetic field of Peach Blossom Garden culture.Part Two,supported by Lefebvre’s dialectics of the "Trinity" in space theory,explores the material space,spiritual space,and social space of the "Peach Blossom Land" element in movies,in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of its spatial characteristics of interweaving reality and emptiness,and to clarify the multi-level and multi-dimensional construction techniques of space.The third part,based on Pierce’s semiotics,analyzes the iconic symbols,index symbols and the construction forms of symbolic symbols of the "Peach Blossom Garden" element in the film,and at the same time,explores how to use symbols to build an aesthetic mood,so as to achieve the profound artistic conception of "feeling is based on things,and things are based on feelings".Part Four takes the graduation work "Xun" as an example,and based on the research in the first three chapters,explores the practical value of the "Peach Blossom Land" element in movies from the perspectives of narrative,space,and symbol,combined with my own thinking when creating works.
