Adaptation Of The Traditional Drama Huangmei Opera "The Search For A Relative" Creative Interpretation

"Filial piety" is the core of Chinese traditional social ethics system,now "Filial piety" for the promotion of personal moral cultivation,family harmony,social peace is still playing an important role.But in recent years,some young people lack the concept of filial piety and abuse of their parents has happened from time to time.At the same time,the problem of population ageing in our country has gradually emerged,it is urgent for the society to form an atmosphere of respecting parents and elders.It is urgent to carry forward the fine tradition of filial piety and realize the modernization of filial piety.Traditional opera is an important carrier of filial piety culture."The search for a relative" is adapted from the traditional Huangmei Opera drama "The white fan".Based on the background of the story and contemporary socialist core values,the author examines the filial piety culture of "The white fan",hoping to trigger audience reflection and exploration of filial piety,in order to contribute to the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese opera art and the moral construction of contemporary society.The paper consists of six parts.The first part is the introduction,which explains the significance,value and train of thought of this adaptation in detail,combs the adaptation of "The white fan",the second part is the outline of the blue version of "The white fan",the third part is about the general situation of the adapted work "The search for a relative",which briefly narrates the naming reason and the plot of the new work In the fourth part,the author analyzes the adaptation of the novel from three aspects: the theme,the characters and the characteristics of the genre.The fifth part is the author’s reflection and improvement on the problems in the process of adaptation,and the sixth part is the author’s outlook on the traditional play adaptation.
