Flaubert,as an important realist writer in the 19 th century, did not attract the attention of the world at the beginning. It can be said that he has the precise and objective artistic purpose of a scientist. He was dissatisfied with the writer’s intervention in the novel, rejected the writer’s God-like perspective, and tried his novel creation with a new perspective--the inner perspective, which created the first objectified writing, reduced the status of the story plot to a new low, increased the weight of narrative in the novel, and formed his unique narrative characteristics.Since Flaubert’s death, although many scholars at home and abroad have studied Flaubert’s works, few Mongolian scholars have paid attention to him and studied him.Based on all Flaubert’s works, the author studies the narrative characteristics of Flaubert’s novels, which is of great significance to enrich the study of Flaubert. This paper consists of several parts, such as introduction, body, conclusion and references. In the introduction part of this paper, the author explains in detail the reason and significance of the topic, the current research situation based on Flaubert and his works and the specific research methods adopted in this paper. In the first chapter, the author mainly explores the origin of Flaubert’s narrative characteristics from three aspects: natural science and philosophy, literary trend of thought and living environment. The development of natural science, philosophy, the prevailing mainstream literary trend represented by realism and some representative writers played an active role in the formation of Flaubert’s narrative characteristics in his novels, and Flaubert’s living environment also promoted the formation of his narrative characteristics in a sense. The second chapter makes a detailed analysis of Flaubert’s narrative features. The thesis is elaborated in detail by the unique narrative perspective, the unique narrative strategy and the clever use of image. The narrative perspective of Flaubert’s novels is the most obvious feature that distinguishes his novels from other writers.Flaubert shows the characters’ behavior and rich psychological activities in his novels from the inner perspective. He also uses spatial narrative, blank narrative, time and space transformation and other narrative strategies to enrich the narrative characteristics of the novel. In addition,Flaubert’s clever use of images also reflects the narrative characteristics of his novels, and enriches the connotation of the narrative characteristics of the novels. The third chapter mainly studies the value and influence of Flaubert’s novel narrative innovation.Flaubert’s novel innovation in narrative is mainly embodied in the objectification writing, the dissolution of the complete story and its exquisite detail description. It is Flaubert’s innovation in novel narration that has laid his irreplaceable position in the literary world. At the same time, his influence on the literature of Western countries,Chinese literature and Chinese Mongolian literature is also based on this point. At the same time, the conclusion concludes that the formation of the narrative characteristics of Flaubert’s novels is not done overnight, but based on the acceptance of natural science, philosophy and literature trends,he forms his own unique artistic view.In the process of reflecting his unique artistic view,Flaubert realized the transformation of narrative perspective, the diversity of narrative strategies, and the ingenious use of images, thus enriching and forming his own unique narrative characteristics, and completing the innovative value of novel narration-objectified writing.
