A Study Of Bargu’s Marital Epic

Epic is one of the important literary themes of folk literature and the treasure of Chinese traditional culture.Mongolian with Buryat,western Mongolia Weilat,Khalkha and our Barhu,Zarut,Weilat seven epic distribution centers.Among them,the short heroic epics spread in the Barhu area are representative because they retain the oldest form of epic,and become an indispensable branch of Mongolian epic studies.The theme of marriage is an important component of the Baalhu epic,which reflects the oldest marriage custom culture and family ethic consciousness of Baalhu.This paper takes "Baalhu marriage epic" as the research object,uses the research methods of cultural anthropology,folklore,epic mutual proof and so on,comprehensively and systematically combs and analyzes the formation,characteristics,motifs,marriage forms and customs and culture of Baalhu marriage epic.This thesis consists of introduction,text(three chapters)and conclusion.The introduction mainly explains the reason of topic selection,research overview,research purpose,research significance and research methods.The text mainly discusses the marriage epic of Baalhu in detail from three aspects.The first chapter discusses the formation,characteristics and marriage form of Baalhu marriage epic.Firstly,this paper discusses the formation of Baalhu’s marriage epic from two aspects of social and cultural background.Secondly,it analyzes and points out the characteristics of the form,plot structure and so on of Baalhu marriage epic.Finally,it further summarizes the marriage types of Baalhu marriage epic,and launches an in-depth discussion from the aspects of formation and content.The second chapter discusses the plot motif of Baalhu’s marriage epic.First of all,it analyzes the plots of Balhu’s single and compound marriage epics,and compares the plots of each epic to analyze their differences and common plots.Secondly,it seeks the character motif from the epic plot and analyzes it.Thirdly,it discusses the background motif of the formation of the epic marriage story.Finally,the main event motif is studied in detail.The third chapter discusses and reveals the customs and etiquette,production folk customs,faith culture and other elements in the marriage epic of Baalhu.First,it points out the main marriage customs embodied in Baalhu marriage epic,and analyzes the cultural background of these customs from the perspective of folklore and epic mutual proof.Secondly,it discusses the economic forms embodied in the Bar-hu marriage epic,and illustrates the concrete effects of these economic forms on the epic marriage.Finally,it briefly discusses the cultural elements of belief in marriage epic.In the conclusion part,the author makes a summative discussion on the content of the whole paper,and puts forward the author’s relevant research arguments.Marriage epic is one of the highlights of Balhu culture.Its formation is closely related to the social culture at that time.Meanwhile,it reflects the various forms of marriage in different periods,such as marriage by force,marriage by test,marriage by the belly,etc.Baalhu marriage epic not only has a rich plot,but also has three motifs,such as role,background and events,which combine to fully explain the content of marriage epic.At the same time,these motifs reflect the marriage customs,production customs and belief culture in different social periods of Barhu.
