The Characteristics Of Sculpture And Its Application In Creation In The Kai-yuan Period Of Longmen Grottoes

Longmen Grottoes is an important node in the history of Chinese sculpture,it reflects the artistic style,social features,aesthetic trend of thought and scientific and technological level from the Northern Wei dynasty to the Tang dynasty.As the last highlight of the Tang dynasty from prosperity to decline,the Kaiyuan period is also reflected in the statues of Longmen Grottoes.This paper focuses on the study of the characteristics of Kaiyuan statue and its integration in sculpture creation.This paper discusses the grotto-niche shape,the composition,the features and the evolution of the statues in Longmen Grottoes during the Kaiyuan period,and concludes the characteristics of the statues.The image features obtained will be applied to the fusion of realistic art creation.This paper discusses the application of the image characteristics of the Kaiyuan period in the realistic creation from the aspects of the dress treatment,the embodiment of the round knife method,the expression of the modeling dynamic,the expression of the creation technique and the transmission of the image.This paper probes into the fusion mode of the characteristics of the sculpture in the Kaiyuan period in the creation of the new era.The fusion of sculpture features in Longmen Grottoes during the Kaiyuan period is of practical significance in enriching the forms of sculpture creation and expanding the aesthetic charm of the sculpture features in the period.
