This paper starts with the characteristics of "engraving" and "blank" of sound,and carries out an analysis of the artistic significance of the application of sound media in public art.In this paper,sound is different from the definition of sound in other art categories.It is introduced from the development analysis of sound media in art to the analysis of sound media practice in public art.It mainly discusses how to complete the transformation of the practical meaning of sound media application,and further discusses the public context and significance of sound media in public art.As a non-solid medium,the application of sound in public art creation is an experimental exploration.Sound realizes the interaction with the public in the communication and communication of public values.Therefore,the research on the application of sound media in public art should analyze the composition of sound experience in public art from the perspective of functional orientation and aesthetic value undertaken by different types of sound design.From the perspective of the media function of sound in the public art creation system,this paper analyzes the sound consciousness and public value contained in the sound landscape and sound activities in public art.Starting from the existence mode and perception form of sound,this paper studies the basic composition of soundscape and the relationship between subject and object,discusses the public direction of implicit communication and sound construction in works,and analyzes the role and expression of sound aesthetic experience in public art.Sound practice in public art is not limited to sound sculpture or sound activities,but also the discourse power in social activities and the expression of the public.The auditory awareness and communication mechanism of sound in public art are summarized,sound optimization and aesthetic logic in public art are explored and summarized by combining relevant practical methods.The future development of public art needs to strengthen the diversified research of creation forms and media,enhance interactive experience and raise the awareness of aesthetic innovation of the public.The research on the application of sound media in public art hopes to realize the exploration value of public art in the auditory dimension and create the innovation and development of public art activities.
