A Report On The Japanese-Chinese Translation Of "Language And Cultural Exchange Among Students Studying In Japan In The Qing Dynasty - Mutual Misunderstandings In Sino-Japanese Educational And Cultural Exchange" (Prologue, Chapter 5) From The Perspective

Text substitution is a special phenomenon that often occurs in ancient Yi language books.It is similar to the interchangeable characters of Chinese characters,mainly reflected in the mutual substitution between homophones and similar characters.In the development process of Yi society,due to various reasons such as changes in times and natural factors,there is a lack of unity in the use of characters,and the substitution of characters has become very frequent.There is a phenomenon of substitution of characters in existing Yi ancient books to some extent.By comparing and analyzing the characters appearing in different versions of Yi language ancient books,it is found that the causes of substitution of Yi language characters can be roughly explained by the differences in the characteristics of using and creating characters.The substitution of such characters can be basically seen as a reflection of differences in copyists and regional differences in Yi language.This article intends to compare and analyze the texts of the two books,"Tulu Li Mi",compiled by Mr.Luo Guoyi and Mr.Chen Yinglao and translated by Mr.Wang Jichao and translated by Ms.Luo Shirong,using language research methods such as text analysis and comparative analysis to sort out the Yi characters that have been used for text substitution,and to classify them accordingly,Exploring and deducing the reasons for the occurrence of text substitution in Yi language ancient books,summarizing its laws,and providing convenience and methods for the translation and research of Yi language ancient books in the future.The content of this article is divided into three parts.The first part is an introduction to the basic information of "Universal Humanities".By elaborating on the background and writing method of "Universal Humanities",it introduces its material value in studying text substitution.The second part is an introduction to the types of substitution of Yi characters in the text materials of "Universal Humanities",and the third part is an analysis of the causes of the phenomenon of substitution of Yi characters through inductive text materials.
