Study On The Construction Of Chengdu City Image By Douyin Short Video

Urban image is the soft power of urban development.In the stage of traditional media,the government is the dominant player of urban image,and the mainstream media is the main communication medium of urban image.Under the background of mobile Internet,the transformation of media ecology breaks the traditional communication pattern,and the rapid development of new media promotes the joint construction of urban image by official and folk discourses.With the slogan of "Recording a better life",Douyin short videos target users in first-tier and second-tier cities.The huge user base and traffic pool promote Douyin to become the main carrier of urban image construction.As a new first-tier city,Chengdu has been ranked first in the list for many years.In order to promote better urban development,Chengdu has proposed the development concept of "scene city" to create a perceivable and visual urban image.Therefore,the study of douyin short video is of great significance to the construction of Chengdu’s urban image.Based on the scene theory of urban studies proposed by Clark,the new Chicago School scholar,the media scene theory of Merowitz,and the scene concept in the context of mobile Internet as theoretical support for cross-analysis,this study explores the correlation between douyin short video and the construction of Chengdu’s urban image.The research finds that douyin’s construction of urban image forms "re-scenization of urban scene".By extracting the trill platform short video samples,studied using content analysis and case analysis,found the trill construction of chengdu city image embodied in: full of fireworks gas of gastronomy,and appropriate in the capital of leisure and the fashion capital of attractive,open,inclusive of dynamic integration of traditional and modern cultural city,city garden in harmony of city park.As for the effect of Douyin’s urban image construction of Chengdu,the questionnaire survey found that the perception of Chengdu by foreign Douyin users was basically consistent with the urban image constructed by Douyin.And it affects cognition,attitude and behavior.Finally,the author points out the existing problems and puts forward optimization suggestions in order to enhance the influence of the city and promote the better development of Chengdu.
