A Study Of Xi Jinping’s Important Expositions On Whole-Process People’s Democracy

The study tries to form a multi-level and systematic research including the basis,development,main content,characteristics,and significance of the important expositions on whole-process people’s democracy of Xi Jinping in order that we can understand its development,connotation,advantages and make a difference on instructing practice.Here are some of my points.The important expositions can’t be done in a short time,there is a forming basis and process.The theoretical basis including Marxism on democracy,democratic theories from Chinese Communists and Chinese traditional culture.The historical basis is the history of rallying the people and leading them to explore,establish and develop democracy.And the theory meets the needs of resolving the new major contradictions,building a modern socialist country in all respects and breaking the western democratic hegemony.As for its development process,it can be divided into three stages:embryonic stage(1982-2012),exploratory stage(2012-2019)and mature stage(since 2019).The important expositions is a complete system that including concept,institutional arrangements,practical representation and realization path.The concept is reflected in developing socialist democracy,ensuring that the people run the country,and adhering to the people-centered development thinking.Whole-process people’s democracy involves complete institutional procedures:the people’s democratic dictatorship,the system of people’s congresses,the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC,the system of regional ethnic autonomy and the system of community-level self-governance.The "whole-process" is the most practical characteristics:full coverage,whole chain of the process,all aspects of the field and full duration of the period.The above views are answer to the question what is the whole-process people’s democracy,Xi Jinping also answers the question how to develop the democracy.The path to develop is integrating the Party’s leadership,the people’s principal position,and the rule of law,encouraging the people’s orderly participation in political affairs,broadening patriotic united front and telling Chinese democracy stories.On the basis of above,the characteristics of the theory are refined,that is,people-centered,the wholeness,the nationality and the practicality.The important expositions has significant value.On the theoretical perspective,it has developed Marxism on democracy,deepened understanding of China’s path to democracy and the political system and expanded the connotation of human political civilization.On the practical perspective,it contributes to ensure that the people run the country,follow the most suitable path to democracy,explore new paths to democracy and promote democracy in international relations.
